ONLINE marketplace Gumtree can now supply a comprehensive history report on vehicles advertised on its listings platform after an agreement with CarRecord, a subsidiary of Queensland-based automotive business Dealer Trade Holdings.
The agreement allows vehicle sellers on eBay-owned Gumtree the option of adding to their listings a complete car history including values, written-off vehicle register and Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) or encumbrance status.
It is being offered at $19, a significant discount to a similar service from Veda-owned carhistory.com.au ($36.95) and RedBook-powered carfacts.com.au ($29).
Dealer Trade Holdings chairman Ken Freer said the partnership with Gumtree “will ultimately allow the consumer to be better informed about the car’s history”.
